Summer is always a time of reflection. How am I doing on my new years resolutions? How is the year going so far. Is there anything that needs to be changed or that I’d like to be changed. This summer has been no exception when it comes to that. I’ve been evaluating what’s important to me, what’s keeping me sane, what’s bringing me joy.
One of the subjects of ponderings was my blog. In general I’ve been asking myself the question whether blogging is still a thing. It seems as though people are much more interested in ‘quick fixes’ when it comes to information & inspiration. Which is one of the reasons why Instagram is so popular (I plead guilty; I love instagram too!). But it leads to the question: for who am I blogging? Are there still people out there reading blogs, reading my blog?
On a related note I’ve been wondering whether I like what I’m doing with my blog. I love blogging, I love to write stories, but the truth is that my work and social life take up so much time that I’m not able to write the stories I want to write, to take time to write what I would really like to write, to really tell stories. Instead I’m filling my blog with short stories, quick content.
Long story short, at this point in time I’ve decided not to blog anymore. I don’t know whether that will be for a week, a month, a year or more… I’ll still be sharing my projects, both on my Facebook page as well as on my Instagram account, so I hope you’ll find me there!
For now, at this spot, goodbye!
